"Nothing At All"
By Michael Knapp

The technician had such claims
like 'I am you' and 'you are nothing' like you thought before
It's all this mystery
the mystique and
'mister jones' lives here no more

It's the words
It's the anger
It's anything
and nothing at all

The last time I took a walk outside
like a bad dream
you forced me to see
'routine for now' you said
all 'laughing hyenas'
hiding in the alleys
for a glimpse of a neighbor's bed

It's the hunger
It's the lies
It's anything
and nothing at all

Just drop everything when you hear
it's more important
than anything you are
there's a chance this could be
'Rumours' have the knack
to get you up and going
when you know there's nothing to see

It's the hype
It's the 'rumours'
It's anything
and nothing at all

It's confusion
It's desire
It's anything
and nothing at all

simply...
nothing at all
